Easy Fall Table Décor: 7 Ways to Make Your Table Feel Like Autumn
Share
There is something about fall that makes us want to gather.
Dinner stays on the table a little longer. Candles get lit a little earlier. We start reaching for richer colors, layered textures and all those little details that make home feel especially inviting.
The good news? Creating a beautiful fall table doesn't require buying an entirely new set of seasonal décor.
At Quincy & Coco, we're big believers in easy, elevated decorating—starting with pieces you love and layering in a few simple seasonal touches.
Here are seven easy fall table décor ideas you can use all season long.
1. Begin With a Beautiful Textile
A tablecloth, runner or set of placemats creates the biggest visual transformation with the least amount of effort.
For fall, look for warm browns, burgundy, mustard, rust, olive and other earthy shades. Hand block-printed patterns work especially well because they bring color, pattern and an artisan quality to the table all at once.
Don't be afraid of florals in fall, either. It's the color palette—not necessarily the motif—that makes a print feel seasonal.

2. Layer Your Linens
One textile is beautiful. Two create a collected table.
Try a patterned tablecloth with contrasting cloth napkins, or leave your wood table exposed and layer it with a block print runner and coordinating napkins.
They don't have to match perfectly.
In fact, we prefer when they don't.
Choose colors or patterns that have something in common and let the combination feel as though it came together over time.
3. Shop Your Grocery Store for the Centerpiece
Some of the best fall decorations aren't decorations at all.
Pears. Apples. Figs. Artichokes. Pomegranates. Mini pumpkins. Gourds.
Pile them into a favorite bowl or scatter them loosely down the center of the table among candles. It's inexpensive, seasonal and refreshingly unfussy.
Bonus: you can eat the décor later.
4. Add Something From Outside
Fall gives us plenty to work with.
Clip a few branches with changing leaves, gather interesting seed pods or add sprigs of rosemary to individual place settings.
You don't need a formal floral arrangement. A few branches in a vase can make a bigger statement—and often feel more natural on a relaxed table.
5. Mix Old and New
A beautiful table should tell a story.
Pair your Quincy & Coco linens with your grandmother's candlesticks. Use everyday white dishes beside a marble serving piece you brought home from a trip. Mix vintage glassware with something brand new.
Those combinations are what make a table feel personal instead of styled straight from a catalog.

6. Use Candlelight—Even on a Weeknight
Do not save the candles for company.
Light them while you're eating takeout. Light them for Tuesday pasta. Light them when the kids are doing homework at the other end of the table.
A few candles may be the easiest way to make an ordinary evening feel just a little more special.
7. Don't Wait for an Occasion
This might be our favorite fall decorating tip of all.
Use the napkins.
Put out the tablecloth.
Light the candle.
Pull out the serving bowl you usually save for Thanksgiving.
A beautiful home isn't something we should only create when guests are coming over. The people who live there every day are reason enough.
At Quincy & Coco, that's what we mean when we talk about creating a more beautiful everyday.
Not perfect. Not precious.
Just thoughtful pieces, collected stories and little moments of beauty woven into ordinary life.
